Vintage Keech Model A Long Scale Tenor Ukulele

This Keech Model A long scale Tenor Ukulele is a fine vintage instrument dating from around 1926 to 1932, distributed in the UK by John E. Dallas & Sons Ltd, approved by Alvin Keech himself.

It bears the original Keech soundhole label (serial number 231), with clear John E. Dallas & Sons Ltd distributor markings — both of which enhance authenticity and collectability.

This instrument is in excellent vintage condition, showing only light, age-appropriate wear. There is a slight crack to the back of the body; but does not affect sound or stability. Otherwise the frets, neck, and body are fully solid. The instrument plays with a warm, mellow tone.

It comes housed in a deluxe fitted hard case with a plush blue lining. These size appropriate cases are extremely difficult to find, making this an especially desirable and complete package.

Notably, George Formby himself played a Model A Keech early in his career, before he became closely associated with the banjo-ukulele. This makes the Model A not only a charming vintage instrument but also a piece of music history.
