I could not for the life of me get my new guitar to sound any good. As a last ditch of attempt before considering selling it on, I took it to Alan.

He changed a few bits on it and professionally set the guitar up. I couldn't believe the difference. Needless to say, I didn't sell it.

In fact I never put it down and now I take it to Alan once some times twice a year just to have it maintained.

I initially went to Alan for ukulele lessons which is how I discovered he did instrument maintenance.

He looks after all my instruments and repairs them when needed. His wife Alyson even relined my case and did a few jobs on my saxophone!
