Live Music Sessions for Care & Community Settings

Alongside our private and public event work, Alan Yates Music also provides structured live music sessions, thoughtfully adapted for care homes and community settings.

Our approach has been shaped through years of experience working directly within care and community settings.

Music Experiences Designed for Care Settings

Our care and community sessions are designed as experiences, not just performances.

Each session follows a familiar, reassuring flow, helping residents feel comfortable and settled:

  • A gentle welcome and introduction

  • Familiar, recognisable music

  • Encouraged but unpressured interaction

  • A Structured yet unhurried pace

  • Inclusive of different abilities and levels of engagement

  • Delivered with a calm, respectful and professional approach

Our sessions are delivered with warmth, patience and sensitivity to individual needs.

They are designed to:

  • Encourage emotional connection, comfort and enjoyment

  • Support dignity, inclusion and respect

  • Create shared moments that promote positive mood and social connection

We focus on well-known music that encourages recognition and familiarity. Engagement is always invited gently and respectfully, while fully respecting those who prefer simply to listen or observe.
