Rare Handmade Miniature Banjo Ukulele with Coffin Case
One of only a handful believed to have been made
This unusual handmade miniature banjo ukulele is unlike anything else we have encountered. Believed to be one of only a handful ever produced, it is a genuinely rare instrument that combines imaginative design with quality craftsmanship.
Although compact in size, measuring just under 20 inches in overall length with a 4.5-inch calfskin vellum head, it still produces the unmistakable character and charm of a traditional banjo ukulele. Its lightweight construction and excellent balance make it comfortable to play, while its distinctive styling ensures it will attract attention wherever it goes.
The instrument is supplied in a bespoke wooden coffin-style case, beautifully lined in red crushed velvet and padded to provide excellent protection.
Both the instrument and case remain in excellent condition. We have inspected the banjo ukulele in our workshop and found it ready to play and enjoy.
If you're looking for something genuinely different, this is a wonderful opportunity to own an instrument that is unlikely to be found again any time soon.
Its rarity, handmade construction and unique appearance make it equally appealing to players, collectors and anyone looking for a conversation piece with real musical ability. Despite its compact dimensions, it retains the lively character expected of a banjo ukulele while offering a playing experience entirely its own.
Combined with its beautifully made coffin-style presentation case, this is an instrument with real individuality.
