Charity Night

  • The Ashley Club Victoria Rd East, Thornton-Cleveleys England, FY5 5HQ United Kingdom (map)

You’re invited…

To our charity night which we are holding to raise funds for Blackpool Haematology department.

The Blackpool Haematology Unit looks after patients and their families not only to those within the Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre but also to the whole of Lancashire, Cumbria and Bolton itself. That is a lot of people to help and care for.

Purpose: The haematology unit require a blood gas machine which costs £20,000.

By having this piece of equipment in their department the unit would receive immediate results instead of having to send away or go to a different department resulting in quicker treatment for patients, preventing delay in patient care and medical staff being able to provide treatment plans more efficiently.

Haematology units look after patients with blood cancer, anaemia, infections, haemophilia and blood clotting disorders.

Why Us: These amazing people looked after my dad and our family for 16 months when my dad was diagnosed with a rare form of terminal blood cancer called Multiple Myeloma which accounts for only 2% of all cancers.

In Memory of: My dad, who sadly passed away 23rd September 2022.
